Reservations
Reservations will only be confirmed upon receipt of full payment. Loch Katrine reserve the right to cancel tours where minimum numbers of passengers are not reached. In this event a suitable alternative or a full refund will be offered. Loch Katrine reserve the right to refuse any booking request. Confirmed bookings are non-transferable and non-refundable. E-ticket must be exchanged for a boarding pass at the booking office at the departure point (Trossachs Pier).
Departures
Passengers should be at the waterfront no less than 15 minutes prior to their chosen departure time, however if the customer booked a bike we require to arrive at the pier 30 minutes before scheduled departure.
Duration/latecoming
The vessel is booked for the agreed duration at the agreed price.
Loch Katrine accept no liability for individual latecoming or latecoming due to 3rd party suppliers or coach companies. If late guests delay the departure of the cruise the vessel will return to the quayside at the scheduled time regardless of the actual cruise duration.
Alterations
Loch Katrine reserve the right to change the tour itinerary at any time. This includes but is not limited to adverse weather conditions, low demand, setting down and picking up passengers at other points on Loch Katrine and the route taken. Loch Katrine also reserve the right to change the vessel/vehicle without prior notice.
Weather conditions
All tours and cruises are subject to weather conditions at the time of sailing. Loch Katrine can accept no responsibility in the event that a cruise is cancelled because of flooding or adverse weather conditions. Where possible 24 hours notice shall be given if any condition is known to be likely to prevent the vessel from sailing. Customers must advise a contact telephone number at the time of booking in case of this event. If an alternative date cannot be agreed then a full refund will be given. In the event of bad weather please telephone for up to date information on details and revisions of published sailing times.
Force Majeure
No liability can be accepted by Loch Katrine where the contract is affected by ””force majeure””. ””Force Majeure”” is any event that we could not, even with due care, foresee or avoid. These events include but are not limited to war, riot, civil or industrial disputes/strikes, natural disaster, fire, flood, earthquake, acts of God, terrorism, nuclear disaster, adverse weather, government action, technical problems with transportation or other events outside our control.
Group bookings
Full payment is required in advance for all group bookings unless a credit agreement/account held with Loch Katrine.
Refunds
Online reservations are non-refundable. In the event of cancellation by Loch Katrine a refund or alternative sailing will be offered.
Cancellations
Any alterations/cancellations must be received in writing by Loch Katrine.
Online reservations are non-refundable.
Cancellations made within 14 days which include pre-booked catering or beverages will be liable for any costs reasonably incurred by Loch Katrine in facilitating this request.
No refunds will be given for no shows/latecoming.
Lead passenger
The Lead passenger is responsible for all members of the party and should ensure that all members of the group are aware of the terms and condition of carriage.
Prices
The price includes the Tour only. Any additional drinks or snacks are payable by the individual.
Infants and children
Reduced child prices are available for children. Where possible prams and buggies should be left on shore or folded prior to boarding and held in a secure place by the crew. All children under 16 years must be accompanied by an adult.
Behaviour
Loch Katrine reserve the right to refuse to carry any person whose conduct/manner is felt to be likely to cause offence or upset to other passengers. This also applies to anyone who exhibits behaviour in a way which potentially poses a threat to the health and safety of himself or other passengers including staff and crew. In the event of a refusal to carry then full cancellation charges apply (no refunds given) and Loch Katrine accept no company liability.
The Captains of all Loch Katrine have the authority to terminate any cruise before the scheduled time if the behaviour of passengers or the general public poses any risk to other guests safety, the safety of the vessel, any equipment onboard the vessel and crew or the safety of other loch users.
Alcohol/Drugs
The captain reserves the right to refuse access to anyone who appears to be under the influence of alcohol. Guests are also not permitted to bring any alcohol onto the vessel. The Captain has the right to confiscate any such alcohol and terminate the cruise before the scheduled time. Loch Katrine also have the right to carry out security checks prior to boarding the vessel. If own alcohol is found to have been consumed a corkage charge will be levied and the captain has the right to terminate the cruise.
Smoking
Smoking is not permitted anywhere onboard including on open air decks.
Impaired Mobility
The crew will be on hand to assist those with impaired mobility. Wheelchair users should contact our offices beforehand to ensure availability and suitability of wheelchair access for their chosen cruise. For safety reasons we cannot accept electric wheelchairs.
Vessel Safety
All of our boats are fitted with the very latest safety equipment and all crew members are fully trained and qualified to meet the requirements of Marine Safety regulations.
Lost property
Loch Katrine accept no responsibility for items left on any vessel or any loss of personal belongings. Any personal items handed in by customers or crew will be retained in our offices for a period of 6 months before being disposed of.
Complaints
In the event of any complaint or problem arising during the cruise, guests should approach a crew member with the problem. Where possible this will be dealt with onboard to your satisfaction. If guests are still not 100% happy then complaints may be submitted in writing to Loch Katrine.
Amendments to terms and conditions
Loch Katrine reserve the right to amend or update the terms and conditions of hire as and when necessary. The hirer should ensure that all members of the party are fully conversant with these terms.
Cycle Hire Information
Rent your bike for 1 or 2 hours – for a half day (4hrs) or a full day (8hrs).
Safety Helmets are recommended for all riders, and must be worn by children under 16 years.
To avoid disappointment – advance booking is recommended, and you should make your reservations at least 24 hours in advance.
Cycle space on board the pleasure cruisers is limited – and must be booked in advance.
